From Alan’s first appearance on stage in Karachi, Pakistan at the age of 7, he has worked exceptionally hard to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. He has led a varied life after being born in Brazil and has had the opportunity to travel the world at an early age. After gaining a degree in Film and Theatre at Reading University, Alan used his varied past to an advantage and threw himself into the professional world of film and theatre. He has appeared in a number of productions ranging from new musicals (including Requiem for Tomorrow and Flamingo Blues) to BBC films alongside Colin Firth (Born Equal). Most recently Alan has received critical acclaim for his award winning short horror film ‘On Ice’, for which he was awarded numerous accolades at the 2 Days Later International Short Film Festival including Best Director and Best Film.

He has always jumped at the opportunity to challenge himself and was presented with the chance to teach Drama and Aromatherapy to Romanian students at an orphanage in Iasi. He was awarded the prestigious Service Colours from Sevenoaks School for his work on the project, and it led on to him being personally sought out and selected to pioneer a 3 month drama course for the mentally disabled in Connecticut, USA. During his time there he wrote a book of theatre games for the mentally disabled that he donated to Camp Horizons for their continuing work in the field.

His first job in the tourist industry was in 2005 at the Chamber Live Serial Killers inside Madame Tussauds. It was here that he learnt a great deal about the industry and what sparked off the visions of Apocalypse Ltd. During his time there, Chamber Live was voted the UK’s scariest attraction, an accolade which he has vowed to win again. In 2007 he was brought in to the Star Wars Exhibition to assist in the creation of the interactive ‘live’ elements of the exhibition. He assisted in devising and performing in the Jedi School, which is where he performed alongside Alistair Reith and Tash Banks. Together with his Reading University colleague Carol Pestridge he took the role of Live Entertainments Manager, and together they ran the attraction on a day-to-day basis. When Alistair and Tash were asked to create and manage the London Bridge Experience and the London Tombs, they brought in both Alan and Carol to complete the Apocalypse team. Given the position of Deputy Head of Performance Alan helped to write the scripts and rehearse the actors to the high standard they currently are at today. And he is on his way to once again achieving the accolade of the UK’s scariest attraction, as the London Tombs has been named ‘…easily London’s scariest attraction.’ by Haunted Attractions UK.

Alan is also heavily involved with the technical side of the industry, having a vast knowledge of computer software, lighting design and sound and video management.
