Alistair has been a professional actor for twelve years. Since graduating from York University in 2000 with a BA hons in theatre studies, he has accumulated a strong and varied body of work in theatre, film, television, attraction and corporate work. He has appeared in a variety of performances ranging from National fringe tours (Bouncers, Road, Dracula, In The Penal Colony and Metamorphosis) to larger scale productions (Macbeth and Much Ado About Nothing-Cambridge Shakespeare festival; The Romans In Britain-Crucible Theatre; Fiddler On The Roof-Savoy theatre west end and The Emperor Jones-National Theatre).

He has also worked in a number of UK tourist attractions beginning in 2002 when he worked for Merlin Entertainments at ‘The York Dungeon’. Whist at the dungeon, Alistair worked as an actor, make-up artist, writer and was part of the street theatre promotional team. Within a year he was promoted to senior actor and remained there for a further 2 years having collaborated with Sky T.V., Channel 5 and the Sun newspaper. His next attraction was in 2007 with Star Wars: The Exhibition-London. This was in collaboration with ‘Lucas Arts’, ‘Elstree Creative Media’ and ‘Weird and Wonderful’. Alistair played a variety of characters ranging from Jedi Master, Clone Trooper and Darth Vader. During this time he has totalled over 100 hours of costumed character work (otherwise known as ‘skin’ work). During this period, Alistair met Reading university graduates Alan Mandel Butler and Carol Pestridge whom were both performing and co managing. Tash Banks was later pulled into the project as Jedi Padawan and part time manager.

It was during this time that the concept for ‘Apocalypse Ltd’ was being discussed. Utilising the vast pool of talents as a collective to produce quality alternative productions. Weird and Wonderful then opened their first micro attraction ‘Fright Club’ and Alistair, along with Tash Banks and Carol Pestridge, were offered the position of managing and creating the performance. Working alongside special effects guru Bob Keen ( Star Wars, Dark Crystal, Hellraiser and Dog Soldiers) they created a unique comedy horror show that the south bank had never seen the likes of before. Having heard a great deal about Madame Tussaud’s horror attraction ‘Chamber live’ Serial Killers, Alistair decided it was time to experience other ‘horror houses’ and after a successful auditioning he was offered an acting position as a serial killer. Alistair found this work to be physically taxing but well worth the effort.

Whilst still at Madame Tussaud’s, Alistair was effectively head hunted to create and manage the horror section of ‘The London Bridge Experience’- ‘The London Tombs.’ Again, the Apocalypse team were pulled in and after several weeks of intensive rehearsal the show was born. Within 3 months it was named “…easily London’s scariest attraction.” by Haunted Attractions UK.  An accolade he is very proud of.

Alistair is also an accomplished visual concept artist, juggler, set designer and builder, physical performer and special effects make up artist. He lives in North London and shares a bathroom with a giant spider.
