Formed in 2008, Apocalypse are a new, young, vibrant interactive theatre and events company. Specialising in site specific ‘experiences’, Apocalypse believe that making the audience play an integral part of the show gives every production a raw, fresh experience that participants will take with them forever.

Specialising in Haunted houses and scare performance, Apocalypse productions blend together everything from ‘traditional’ ghost train clichés to modern special effects, prosthetic make up and acrobatics.  Utilising various forms of performance gives apocalypse a ‘total theatre’ approach. The experiences created are not only the work of actors and choreographers, but also those of sound and lighting experts, set designers, stunt co-ordinators and make up artists. The end result is a massive assault on the senses. Producing 100 % original work, Apocalypse can tailor a haunting experience to work with your needs as well as your budget.

Apocalypse was set up by four attraction enthusiasts, all of whom have worked in various areas of theatre, film and television as well as scare and live attraction work.

Their previous projects have involved working alongside such specialists and cult figures as Bob Keen (special effects producer for Star Wars, Dark Crystal, Hellraiser and Dog Soldiers).

All four of the team share a love of theme parks, thrill rides, haunted houses, special effects and live interactive performances, culminating in them founding Apocalypse with the intention of creating the kind of work they themselves would like to see. With the very firm belief that the horror industry is taking the country by storm, Apocalypse deliver a world where dark and disturbing creatures come to life.

Apocalypse and their associate artists are disciplined in a dizzying array of performance techniques including: dance, acting, directing, producing, writing, choreography, singing, acrobatics, mime, martial arts, stilt walking, juggling, street theatre, special effects make up, prosthetics, costume, set dressing, sound and lighting effects, set building, original artwork, original scores and promotion. All of these can be brought together to create an experience you’ll never forget.
