A bumbling senile figure approaches and introduces

himself as Brownlow, the butler of the architect Sir

John Rennie. It transpires that his master built the

1831 London Bridge and upon his death has

become a spirit guiding the willing on a journey

through his vaults. Without warning the door slams

behind, and a new one opens in front leading back

2000 years into the Roman era. Sir John urges you

to follow the path the bridge has set out for you. After all, the only way back to your own time is through the echoes of the past. Do not be surprised if you encounter such unsavoury characters as Queen Boudicca, the Viking army of King Olaf or the gruesome Keeper of the Heads, they all play an essential part in the life of London’s most famous bridge. Challenges will be presented and tasks must be completed for the path to continue. This will not be easy - the bridge will burn, be pulled down and overrun by enemy forces before the journey can be safely completed.

With a combination of time travel and gruesome history, The London Bridge Experience takes some well-worn tourist-trail ideas to a new level. Using the 2000 year history of London Bridge, the members of Apocalypse have created an interactive, educational tourism experience for all the family, with enough gore and small scares to keep children and horror buffs alike engaged and entertained.

The perfomers Apocalypse have brought to the project are drawn from backgrounds as varied as stand-up comedy to classical theatre. This expertise brings an indispensable mixture of humour and drama to combine with the fantastic special effects incorporated in the set. This has been one of the most important elements that has brought so much success to the project. The performers also use modified versions of the scare techniques used in the London Tombs to assist in the creation of the chilling atmosphere that surrounds the vaults of the London Bridge Experience.

Over the past two years, the directors of Apocalypse have been involved in key creative roles in tourist and scare attractions in London. These roles come in addition to performance roles in other attractions.

Although these are not Apocalypse projects, the main creative input was that of Apocalypse members. The following should give you some idea of what we are capable of creating, the challenges faced and the potential for your attraction.
